# Delete Your DragBin Account

DragBin is an encrypted cloud storage service. You can delete your DragBin account and the data stored with it at any time, from inside the app or by contacting us. This page explains how, and exactly what is erased.

## Delete your account from the app

- Open the DragBin app and sign in.
- Go to the **Settings** tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap **Delete account**.
- Confirm, then enter your password to verify it is you.

Deletion starts immediately. You do not need to contact us, and there is nothing else to do afterwards. The same steps work in the DragBin web app at [app.dragbin.com](https://app.dragbin.com/).

## Delete your account without the app

If you can no longer sign in or have already uninstalled the app, email **contact@dragbin.com** from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify that you own the account and complete the deletion within 30 days.

## What is deleted

- Every file and folder you uploaded, erased from our storage providers
- Every photo and video backed up from your device
- All share links you created, which stop working immediately
- Your saved sessions and login tokens, signing you out everywhere
- Your paid subscription, cancelled straight away with no further charges

Because DragBin encrypts your files on your device before they are uploaded, we never held the keys to your content in the first place. Deletion removes the encrypted data itself.

## What we keep, and for how long

Your account record -- your email address, display name, and account identifier -- is retained in a deactivated state. We keep it so the address cannot be silently re-registered by someone else, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. It is not used for anything else, and you will receive no further email from us.

If you want that record erased as well, email **contact@dragbin.com** and ask for full erasure. We will complete it within 30 days, apart from records we are required by law to keep for longer, such as invoices and tax records relating to payments you already made.

## Before you delete

Account deletion cannot be undone, and we cannot recover your files afterwards. Download anything you want to keep first.
