## How to Adjust Brightness and Contrast

Three steps, no account and no software to install:

Step 1

Add one image, or several if you want the same look on all of them.

Step 2

Move the brightness, contrast and saturation sliders and hold Compare to see the original.

Step 3

Pick an output format and download the adjusted images.

## Why Use This Image Adjuster?

It does three common corrections well and nothing else, so there is no editor to learn. The preview updates as you drag, and the export uses your full-size image.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Your images are decoded, adjusted and saved by your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server. For AVIF and JPEG XL files the page may download a small decoder or encoder from dragbin.com, but your image itself never leaves your device.

### Does the preview show the final quality?

The live preview uses a smaller copy of your image so the sliders stay smooth. When you export, the same brightness, contrast and saturation values are applied to the image at its full original resolution.

### What do the slider values mean?

Each slider runs from -100 to 100 and 0 leaves the image unchanged. Saturation at -100 gives a black-and-white image, and +100 doubles colour intensity.

### Which formats can I save as?

By default the tool keeps your original format for JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and JPEG XL files. Other formats, such as GIF or BMP, are saved as PNG. You can also choose JPG, PNG or WebP for every file.

### Can I adjust several images at once?

Yes. Add several images, tune the settings on the one shown in the preview, and export. The same settings are applied to every image in the list, and you can download them one by one or as a zip.

### Is there a size limit?

Images up to about 16.7 megapixels (4096 x 4096) and 100 MB per file are supported. Larger images can fail silently on iPhone and iPad browsers, so the tool asks you to resize them first.
