No. Your image or video is checked and fixed in your browser, on your own device, and is never sent to a server. Some formats need extra code: a HEIC decoder (about 1.5 MB), an AVIF decoder, a WebP encoder, the video engine or an AAC audio encoder is then downloaded from dragbin.com, but your file stays local. ### Where do the platform rules come from? Each destination uses the limits that platform publishes or recommends in its own help or developer pages, as of October 2026. Each rule links to its source page, or says so when a platform hasn't published one. Platforms change their limits without notice, and DragBin isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of them, so treat the result as a guide. ### What is the difference between a fail and a warning? A fail means the file breaks a limit the platform publishes as a requirement, such as WhatsApp's 512 x 512 px WebP sticker under 100 KB. A warning means it misses a recommended size, or a limit we couldn't find clearly published. Uploads with warnings usually work, but the platform may crop, enlarge or recompress the file. ### What does Fix it change? It converts the format if needed, then crops to fill or pads to fit (your choice) to reach the required shape, and resizes to the target size. If the destination has a file size limit, it lowers the quality until the file fits. Your original file is untouched, and the fixed copy has no EXIF metadata such as GPS location. ### What does Fix it do to a video? It makes an H.264 video with AAC audio in an MP4 file, the format most platforms recommend. It crops to fill or pads to fit the required shape and size, cuts the video to the platform's length limit from the start point you choose, and lowers the bitrate to get under a file size limit, trying up to three times. When the video is already H.264 at the right size, the picture is copied rather than re-encoded, so nothing is lost. Your original file is untouched. ### Which video limits are published and which are estimates? As of October 2026, YouTube publishes the Shorts length and shape and its recommended upload settings, and X publishes video limits in its developer documentation. We couldn't find published video limits for Instagram Reels, TikTok, WhatsApp or Discord's free upload size, so those rows are recommendations based on widely reported figures and never count as a fail. ### I need a photo under a certain KB for a form or exam portal. Can this help? Government, exam and job portals set very different limits, so they aren't listed here.
