## Frequently Asked Questions

### Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Resizing and re-encoding happen in your browser on your own device. Your images are never sent to a server. For AVIF output, or formats your browser can't handle itself, an encoder file is downloaded from dragbin.com, but your images stay local.

### Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Add as many images as you like, choose one set of options and they are all resized together. Download each file on its own or everything as a single ZIP.

### Will small images be enlarged?

Not unless you ask for it. By default an image that is already smaller than the size you pick is kept at its original size. Turn on "Allow upscaling" to enlarge it, which usually looks softer.

### What is the difference between fit, fill and stretch?

Fit keeps the whole image inside your width and height without distortion. Fill covers the exact box and trims the edges that don't fit. Stretch forces the image to the exact width and height, which can distort it.

### Which formats can I save as?

Keep the original format, or convert to JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. GIF and other formats that can't be re-saved as-is are written as PNG. Animated GIFs keep only their first frame.

### Is there a size limit?

Each file can be up to 200 MB and 100 megapixels. The resized output is capped at about 16.7 megapixels (for example 4096 x 4096), because larger canvases fail on iPhone and iPad browsers.
