Subscription Refunds

At DragBin, we want you to be completely satisfied with our secure cloud storage services. We understand that circumstances may arise where you may need to request a refund. This policy outlines our approach to refunds for our subscription plans.

Free Trial Period

All new DragBin accounts come with a 14-day free trial period. During this period, you can explore all the features included in your selected plan without any charge. If you decide to cancel during the free trial period, no payment will be processed, and no refund will be necessary.

We recommend using this trial period to thoroughly test our services and ensure they meet your needs before committing to a paid subscription.

Monthly Subscriptions

For monthly subscription plans, we generally do not provide prorated refunds for partial months. When you cancel a monthly subscription, your service will remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged for subsequent months.

In exceptional circumstances, such as technical issues preventing you from using our service, we may consider issuing a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current billing period. These cases are evaluated on an individual basis.

Annual Subscriptions

For annual (yearly) subscriptions:

  • Within 14 days of purchase: If you cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase or the most recent renewal date, we will provide a full refund of your annual subscription fee.
  • After 14 days: If you cancel after 14 days from the purchase or renewal date, we may provide a prorated refund based on the unused portion of your subscription, less a 15% administrative fee.

When canceling an annual subscription, your service will remain active until the end of the current billing period unless you specifically request immediate termination of services.

Refund Exceptions

While we strive to be fair in our refund policy, there are certain circumstances where refunds may not be issued:

  • Violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
  • Requests made after 30 days from the purchase date for any subscription type
  • Issues arising from your own device, internet connection, or technical setup that are outside our control
  • Subscription downgrades (switching from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan)
  • Loss of data due to user error, including lost encryption keys or passwords

Business and Enterprise Plans

For Business and Enterprise subscription plans, custom refund terms may apply based on your specific contract. Please refer to your service agreement or contact your account representative for details on refund eligibility.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact our customer support team in one of the following ways:

Please include the following information in your refund request:

  • Your account email address
  • Date of purchase
  • Subscription plan type
  • Reason for requesting a refund
  • Any relevant order or transaction numbers

Refund Processing Time

Once approved, refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used for the purchase. Refund processing times depend on your payment provider and may take up to:

  • 5-10 business days for credit or debit card payments
  • 3-5 business days for PayPal payments
  • 7-15 business days for bank transfers or other payment methods

Account Data After Cancellation

If you cancel your subscription and request a refund, your account will remain active until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise requested. After your subscription ends, you will have a 30-day grace period to download your files. After this grace period, your files may be permanently deleted from our servers.

Remember that due to our zero-knowledge encryption technology, we cannot access or recover your files. It is your responsibility to download and backup your important data before your subscription expires.

Policy Modifications

DragBin reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy on our website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Refund Policy.
